Open Access Policy

All GIR-Press journals are fully open access — free to read, share, and build upon worldwide.

Last updated: January 1, 2025

Our Commitment to Open Access

Global Innovative Research Press (GIR-Press) is a fully open access publisher. All articles published in GIR-Press journals are freely available to read, download, and share online immediately upon publication — with no subscription fees, access charges, or embargo periods.

We believe that the results of scholarly research should be openly available to all — regardless of institutional affiliation, geographic location, or financial means. Open access accelerates scientific discovery, increases the visibility and impact of research, and enables equitable participation in global knowledge creation.

Creative Commons Licensing

All articles published by GIR-Press are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits:

  • Sharing — Copying and redistributing the material in any medium or format
  • Adapting — Remixing, transforming, and building upon the material for any purpose, even commercially

The only requirement is that appropriate credit is given to the original authors, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated.

Author Rights

Under GIR-Press's open access model, authors retain the following rights:

  • Copyright of their article
  • The right to self-archive in institutional repositories, personal websites, or preprint servers at any stage
  • The right to reproduce the article in future works authored by themselves
  • The right to use figures, tables, and data from the article in future publications
  • The right to distribute copies of the article for educational and research purposes

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To cover the costs of peer review management, editorial services, production, and online hosting, GIR-Press charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript. APCs vary by journal and are disclosed on each journal's homepage prior to submission.

GIR-Press is committed to keeping APCs affordable and transparent. No fees are charged at the submission stage.

APC Waivers and Discounts

GIR-Press offers full or partial APC waivers for:

  • Authors from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) as classified by the United Nations
  • Authors facing genuine financial hardship, assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • Editorial Board members and invited reviewers (partial discount)
  • Conference partners with special publishing agreements

Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission or upon receiving an acceptance decision. Contact publish@girpress.com for waiver applications.

Preprint Policy

GIR-Press supports the posting of preprints on recognised preprint servers (such as arXiv, bioRxiv, SSRN, or ResearchGate) before, during, or after peer review. Authors must disclose any preprint posting in their cover letter and update the preprint with a link to the final published article upon publication.

Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

Authors may deposit the final published PDF of their article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites immediately upon publication, provided that the original publication source is acknowledged with a full citation and DOI link.
