Copyright Ownership
Global Innovative Research Press (GIR-Press) follows an author-retains-copyright model consistent with open access publishing best practices. Authors of articles published in GIR-Press journals retain the copyright of their work. By submitting and publishing with GIR-Press, authors grant GIR-Press a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article in all forms and media.
Open Access License
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This means anyone may:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercially
Under the following terms:
- Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license provided, and any changes indicated. This must be done in a reasonable manner, without suggesting that GIR-Press or the authors endorse the user or their use.
Author Rights
As the copyright holders, authors retain the right to:
- Post the final published version of their article on personal websites, institutional repositories, or preprint servers immediately upon publication
- Reproduce the article in full or in part in a thesis or dissertation
- Reproduce the article in printed collections of their own works
- Use figures, tables, charts, and excerpts in subsequent publications with proper citation
- Distribute copies of the article for educational or research purposes
- Grant permissions for others to use the article consistent with CC BY 4.0 terms
Third-Party Content
Authors are responsible for obtaining written permission from copyright holders for any third-party material (figures, tables, photographs, etc.) included in their manuscript that is not covered by an open license. Permission must be obtained before the manuscript is accepted for publication. Evidence of permission must be provided to the editorial office upon request.
Permissions for Reuse
Under the CC BY 4.0 license, formal permission from GIR-Press is generally not required to reuse published content. However, if you require written confirmation of permission (e.g., for commercial use above normal thresholds, or for use in course packs requiring institutional licensing), contact publish@girpress.com.
Copyright Infringement
GIR-Press takes copyright infringement seriously. If you believe any content published on girpress.com infringes on your copyright, please contact us at editor@girpress.com with:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL of the allegedly infringing material
- Your contact information
- A statement confirming your ownership of the copyright
GIR-Press will investigate all claims and respond within 10 business days.
Copyright for Conference Proceedings
For conference proceedings published by GIR-Press, the same CC BY 4.0 license applies. Authors retain copyright of their individual papers. The compilation copyright of proceedings volumes is held by GIR-Press.
